Paul wrote to the Thessalonians reassuring them that they did not miss the rapture. The Bible also says Christians are not appointed to God's wrath. The purpose of the tribulation, the 70th week of Daniel, is to bring the Jews to Christ.
There is also typography of a pre-tribulation rapture throughout the OT. Enoch and the flood, Lot and Sodom and Gomorrah, Daniel and the fiery furnace.
Enoch was not left behind, he was raptured. He represents the church. Noah represents Israel going through the tribulation, but being preserved by God.
By the way, the people who died in the flood were left behind so not sure how it's categorically good to be left behind when only 8 people survived.

Think about it why would God put his children through the Great Tribulation and why would he call us up to me Jesus in the clouds? During the rapture we meet Jesus in the clouds he never sets foot on earth until the second coming when we come back with him. So if like you say we go through the tribulation why would we be called up to meet Jesus and then come right back down to fight along side him at the same time? It doesn't make sense.
