Mike Pompeo is speaking like he's still SecState. Why?

Why did neither Pompeo nor Pence attend Trump's departure? Maybe because they knew he wasn't departing for good?

If there's one other person I trust besides Trump and Pence, that would be Pompeo.

I dont trust the media I just found that interesting. And to be honest I don't know why Trump thanked him. Maybe to take the pressure and focus off of it? His wife got an envelope so I still find that suspicious personally.
