makes the "pay-off" / climax all the better.

Not five minutes ago I happened to imagine this, the exact moment we get concrete factual confirmation that "it happened"...that We the People of the United States of America and our president are TRiUMPhant after all. It was exhilarating in the extreme, the sense of relief.
