If you look closely at the maps the main attack on the capital was from the W-NW corner. I watched a video that clearly shows where most of the people entered. That's why they breached the Senate first and so easily. They came in a door very close by and made it there before anyone could really react. Security was focused on getting the people moved to safety not securing the building.
The office building AOC was in is to the SE of the Capital. She's literally as far as she could possibly be from the actual attack while still being nearby. All she had to do was cover up to conceal her identity and escape out the south side of her building and no one would have even known she was there.
The rear entrance of her building was easily 1500+ ft away from the "attack" with two giant freaking buildings in the way.
