This zoomed in graph makes it more clear on the dates. Clearly shows that "fake news" wasnt a thing before pizzagate, and was pushed into existence just when pizzagate was starting to unfold.
The trend for "Pizzagate" was brought about organically as millions of people started hearing about it on social media (when they still had weird instagram photos/comments for anyone to view...before all the perverts locked down all their accounts).
The trend for "Fake News" clearly starts on the same day.

Yes the term segued into being used for whatever Trump said.
I remember a few weeks of every single talking head saying "fake news"
But if you remember ...Trump turned it around and started using "fake news" to describe the MSM.
He kinda turned it into a meme and they don't use it anymore. The new term they use is "fact checking".
