My experience with Sikh communities is that they play their cards very close to their chests and have a very slow burn rate, but once a certain threshold is met they will take necessary action. However, one must remember that they were the palace guards as well as warriors. It will be interesting to see where their loyalties lay.
People are dumb. Years of brainwashing and continuous propaganda has been propping them up to rise against the majority (Hindus) even though they've been inseparable since the inception of Sikhism. The group that is protesting and rioting is like BLM. Majority of sikhs don't care, but the uneducated farmers who can't see the propaganda are following the bad actors.
