Just had a conversation with a random about covid at an interstate rest stop. Told me I should read a book called 1984. He said it's a free book online should check out. BOOM ?. Keep red pilling. 1984 ?

It's an issue that comes up in Exodus and again in Thessalonians. I think the reasoning would be that after you resist God enough, He refuses to intervene as Satan deludes you and hardens your heart. One term for this is the permissive will of God. He lets bad things happen for His own purposes.
