I'm starting to suspect that deepfakes started to become a big "thing" a couple of years ago precisely because the elites are afraid of evidence (such as Epstein's blackmail videos) being released, and want to make it so that everyone and their grandmothers can make 100% realistic deepfakes within a few years, so that video evidence will be inherently unreliable and the media can claim that any evidence that they don't want people believing was cooked up on a computer by some right-wing extremist Internet troll.
