Save them by sleeping in bed with them? He acknowledged he did this. And refusing to stop doing so even when people told him it was inappropriate for him, a grown man, to keep sleeping in bed with young boys? Even after he'd been accused of molesting several of them? No, I don't think he was trying to save the kids.
