Why not? Heh. You can have a debate at a restaurant, get passionate and: "Oh, sorry, didn't mean to spill water on you, here, have a napkin." Makes it more human.
Yes, monotheism: Good and evil are defined by G-d. Not by human beings. Though that is the temptation used in the first sin: The Serpent tempts Eve by telling her that if she eats the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil she will be like G-d.... That is, SHE will decide what is good and what is evil.... not G-d.
Much of the Torah is designed to help us clear away this confusion.
And much of the problems we face today are the work of those that want to substitute their ideals of good and evil above G-d's. Ends badly, unfortunately.
Heh, used to read Bill Moyer's interviews a life time ago. Figures it was about overpopulation. That's been a long running thing -- finding other human life to be a burden. From today's Bill Gates vaccine, and back to Pharaoh throwing baby boys into the river.
And I suppose... the motivation for it ... that G-d's followers have the commandment to go forth and multiply. (A G-d that loves us so much his first commandment is to have lots of sex. Heh). Versus... I suppose your viewpoint is that Satan hates humanity and therefore wants it limited or exterminated. Probably justified by whatever is handy at the time. (Overpopulation, too much resources, whatever).
The rewards and penalties for Mitzvahs versus Averroes (sins) are pretty well documented. My greatest blessings -- my children -- would not have been available to me if I continued to pursue the sin I mentioned early of crossdressing. Well, dressing itself made it less likely but still possible. Transitioning sterilizes the person, which makes offspring impossible -- and I imagine that's one reason your organization would favor it. Convince more teens to transition = less people, once they sterilize themselves via surgery and hormones. Their happiness and well-being ... not considerations.
"Good versus evil" is a Zoroastrian point of view. It is, in essence, accepting two gods.... a good god and an evil god at war with each other.
Monotheism espouses one G-d that exists without a competitor.
Yes, a perfect judgment for everyone -- but what would a perfect judgment be? Probably not what we, as imperfect human beings, can envision.
(Sorry for moving these responses around the thread. It told me that comments can't go "so deep" so I'm replying to earlier statements)
hahahahaha
A Jew apologizing to a satanist while they debate scripture and christianity, you can't make this shit up Lol
also monotheism in practice is less the belief in one god's existence as it is belief in that god being the one truth.

Correct summation?
