I thought the number was 1-776-1717-QQQQ
Maybe, but: a) That’s too many numbers, right? b) I truly miss those old 900/976 late night “chat line” commercials. Even though I never called them. (I was too young, but even so, they still seemed retarded and desperate and awful.)
I guess, I'm in the UK and not that familiar with your number format :)
I do recall rolling in from the pub on a Friday night, putting on the TV to watch a late night music channel and seeing those chat line adverts, they were hilarious.
Ah.
Yes.
If you’re not American, and lived in the late 80s, early 90s, this’d’ve gone right over your head.
Actually, looks like it may have gone over everybody’s heads, but as great as this group is... some people are too wee-weed up for top-notch humor.
Or are all maybe, surprise twist, actually Europeans! ?
Check your delta's, it's morning here now, the US is asleep, no?
Oh.
Good point.
West Coast represent, though? Right? It’s only midnight + change right here, still.
But oh well, I’ll guess I’ll just wait until morning, and then watch the updoots pour in from across the country from my 900/976-rememberin’ frens.
Gotta build up the karma, I’m told. So I can eventually trade all those points in on a Brand. New. Kar. (that’s how this all works, right?)
actually some one should set up a Q number to call....troll the dems by advertising it late night on terrestrial television.
It’d quickly turn into a party-chat line filled entirely with FBI cheesedicks looking to incite some saucy insurrection.
No 17’s in the number, I’m calling bs lol
Good point.
You got me.
If it was for real, it definitely would have had 17s in the digits there.
I know, right!?!
They seemed somehow so happening, and yet so very very sad, at the same time.
