Not only have the Trumps been very quiet, Former Pres. Trump has been visibly playing a lot of golf. I think that may be an important optic. Unlike his predecessor who kept his hand in long after he had left office, Pres Trump is out doing "retired" things. There has also been a big splash about the creation of the Office of the Former President so optically, he's being very good and staying out of it.
