Absolutely.

Plus, a lot of local Florida news reports over the years have warned female shoppers to not shop alone. Or to be careful so to not be followed in a parking lot. Florida news talks about these issues openly. Not sure if this news makes it nationwide with fake news controlling the national news scene.
