When dealing with people that say they talk to higher ups in military or administration, and that these people are giving them intel to “share”.
Odds are that neither are true.
Ask the five Whys.
Why would they need a third party?
Why would they break OPSEC?
Why have they been more wrong than right?
Why is this person trustworthy if they are leaking?
Why are they hawking supplements and other dubious wares?
Information warfare. They are not ready to spill the full truth to everyone, so use semi-reliable 3rd parties to reach only a fraction of the people
They are not. Everything disseminated is carefully calibrated to create the right reaction in the right fraction of people.
Because the information disseminated is calibrated disinfo. Balancing the "keep the hope up for the faithful" vs "keep the deep state in the dark."
Because their job is to disseminate the information given to them. They are not leaking, they are following instructions.
Because they need to make a living. No one is compelled to buy anything from any of these folks. If they give you this info only after paying them, then turn them off.
I never really understood this objection--when they neglect to say what's wrong with their product offerings in my mind it immediately invalidates their complaint. I think too many people falsely assume anyone making money is a bad guy.
The main stream has conditioned to believe that the little guy who is trying to make a little money is a bad guy. Of course, if its Apply or Nike making money off of child slave labour, thats perfectly fine.
