If you can find it at your local library check out the book 'Sled Driver', by Brian Shul. He was an SR-71 Blackbird pilot, took some great photos and has great stories to tell. Some of those pilots enjoyed themselves a bit more than they should.
One time he was coming back to California from a mission outside the country, was ghosting in from the north Pacific, I think, trying to lose speed. As they interact with civilian flight control areas they have to use those comms, so he's switched over listening for a break as other pilots take headings and altitudes, etc..
Then he asks for Angels 60, meaning he wants to fly at an altitude of 60000 feet on his present heading. The Air Traffic Controller thinks it's a passenger plane messing with him, gets snarky and asks 'how the hell do you think you're gonna get up there?' And Brian says' paraphrasing here ... 'Ah you caught me, I'm not going up to 60'...pause a sec... 'I'm coming down to 60'.
Anyhow, those guys like spoofing civilians and each other.
