They don't need more land for that. They have enough. The Mormons have hundreds, if not thousands of acres in just about every state they have a church in for their food donation programs. They grow and slaughter/process their own food and warehouse it all in disaster proof storage facilities to be used by parishioners in times of crisis or food shortages. I used to help coordinate for the church near me when I was a Mormon.
