One thing Q has been completely right about is that we cannot be given all the answers in life but instead be shown how to ask the right questions and look at something more than once to find things we missed.

Future proves past is really good because when you look at the past, you will notice things you didn't notice before and it will help to make other things make sense. Plans cannot be flat out given to the public, crumbs to follow to open new doors to gain more knowledge of a variety of things.

Remember how much people have recently tried to erase history, in schools, tearing down monuments and more. History helps us understand the present and the future. When something happens, you go back and look at it and notice new things.

Some cold cases police work on go unsolved for decades but in the end only takes a new set of eyes looking at things differently or looking at things over and over to find something they may have missed. In some ways history is more important than learning new things but instead learning old things that bring greater clarity to new things.
