I remember reading long ago ( no sauce) that the RNC picked Pence as the vice President in 2016 and if DJT did not agree, they would not give him the nomination. Makes sense that all the vices are 'chosen' by the corrupt system - I believe President Trump would have chosen someone more dynamic.
