It is interesting to note that the National Guard is not the US military. The NG is troops under the Municipal corporation, although when they are federalized, they then operate under orders from the Pentagon.
What you say is interesting because it means the Municipal corporation is trying to fight back against DJT by giving the NG incentive to leave DC, which would open the blockade.
