I have never bought in to the military line. Several reasons. First, I believe the military leadership to be completely compromised because of the concerted actions of three administrations. Clinton ran a putsch against officers who did not support his policies. Bushy ran the RIF following DS/DS and cleaned out a bunch (I was a primary staff officer in a senior tactical HQ. Our boss came in from a GO conference in DC and announced that within 1 calendar year 30% of the O6's on duty in the Army would be gone. Selection was significantly political) . Black Jesus ran a pogrom and eviscerated the senior leadership of any who could think independently (acquiescence and obedience were inadequate). In addition, our recruitment over this period has been from an increasingly left leaning society and many in the military today (especially officers with their university brainwashing amplifying the social milieu) have no problem with the liberal policies. The military used to hold to McArthur's vision of "Duty Honor Country". today's leadership is about "Me, My Ass, My Career".
Don't forget, though, military members retire every day and junior officers and enlisted become the senior officers and enlisted. Clinton military members are my age and most all are gone. 30 years is mostly it except at the flag level (General/Admiral).
I still work with the military every day and I know very very few who are liberal. Still warriors.
