Patrick Byrne's 10 year old novel "Deep Capture" is a good read. I would recommend everyone read it. There are a few very notable names in there (some of them purporting to be on our side today).

One of the things that most struck me, however, was that Jimmy Wales was caught in an obvious lie. It also exposed a pay for play scheme as well as potentially exploiting his position for sexual favors. The story goes like this:

Wall Street powers that be were trying to quiet rumors of widespread phantom shares (the same issue GME was trying to highlight last week), after an SEC report was released confirming the widespread fraud.

One of the Wall Street players became the #1 editor of the Wikipedia pages referencing naked shorts, phantom shares, etc. This was caught on to and exposed by Patrick's associates, but Jimmy Wales came to the defense of the editor and said he/she wasn't who Byrne said he was.

Later an email was leaked from Jimmy saying explicitly that this person was who Byrne said he was. It also came out that groups associated with this editor made large donations to the WIkiMedia Foundation. When that was released, Byrne's entire company was blocked from Wikipedia.
