The US government's OFFICIAL position is that it was a conspiracy, NOT a lone gunman.
There were TWO congressional investigations. First, the Warren Commission, and then the House Select Committee on Assassinations. THE HSCA looked at ALL the evidence from the Warren Commission, looked at evidence and interviewed people the Warren Commission did not, and did their own ballistics tests.
THE HSCA's OFFICIAL result was that (a) at least FOUR shots were fired (not three), (b) at least one shot came from the direction of the GRASSY KNOLL, and (c) it was, therefore, a CONSPIRACY.
That is the US government's last investigation, and it stands today as the OFFICIAL explanation.
What you see on TV to the contrary is FAKE NEWS.
