Hm... if faith is “confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see” then faith is faith regardless of if it’s “right” or “wrong”. Like, Bill Clinton had faith in Epstein to bring him choice children. Was he wrong? Was he right? On the other hand, IMO at least, heroin is where you turn when you feel hopelessness. That’s just my gut level response but I’ll be ruminating on this further...
