I think the blue boxes look similar to the size and shape of VHS video tapes from back in the day ?? ??‍♀️

I laugh because surely not, they'd be hard pressed to find a VHS player. There are however tape storage devices used for backups, though each unit doesn't contain a whole lot of storage space and it would be a pain to parse for data.
