It's always we the people, not the few that control things. People have to eventually realize that. It doesn't matter if it's president, congress, senate, governor, county commissioners, mayors etc. It doesn't matter if it's mods on a website, new media, or any of them really.

People often will start out good and honest but power corrupts. Without us interacting with each other, this website would be useless and dead mostly. If no one wore a mask, government would be powerless to tell anyone to wear a mask. If everyone stopped paying taxes, the government would be at our mercy.

The government wouldn't be able to come in and rule us. Government rules because the people allow it and most people are fine with that because it means less responsibility.

There is nothing wrong with allowing people to have power because not everyone wants to deal with the excess responsibilities but they should all be held accountable for their actions. I like reading on here and talking to people but I certainly don't need this website, I just choose to be on here.
