I absolutely agree. Everything my team builds is cloud agnostic. The Azure and Amazon reps call and press to adopt all their super-duper fancy crap and I have managed to keep my clients off of it.
Where we do leverage cloud-specific infrastructure, I insist that we do it through a middle layer and build for disaster scenarios by maintaining offsite backups and off cloud functionality to replace the cloud functionality.

Yeah, you can use it but you need to be able to change a config file and ditch it IMO. AFAICT Parler was using CF, S3, R53,.. the whole nine yards. Bezos owned them from the jump.
