Because, of course they will convict. No evidence. Faked. What are they going to do, admit it? No they will convict. Presumably once they do, the illusion will be fully shattered for most reasonable people. Then... then with a bit of luck we get the footage of the fake attack being planned, Babbit makes an appearance or whatever. (I saw a video from pre-noon of them staging the "glocks at the chamber door" photo - surely there is comprehensive CCTV of the whole thing).

Sorry - but this is not going to happen.
No matter what exterior forces we may believe are at play here, these guys are still Partisan hacks at their core. They don't give two shits about their word. They don't give two shits about the truth. They don't give two shits about you, or your family. They DAMN sure don't give two shits about their oaths to serve the country.
For them, it's about being right, and their opponents being wrong. Its about sound bites and electability indexes.
