Perhaps there is more to this strategy than I thought. This whole thing just defies logic. I am genuinely tired of trying to apply rational analysis to this spectacle. It makes no logical sense. My brain hurts....

Agree. It is not possible to arrive at a logical conclusion about things that are being done by people who have no interest in anything logical.

Why would D senators want witnesses, when they must know the case is a sham? The only explanation is they do what they are told. D's never think for themselves, they just follow orders. Who ordered?
