I live in a Red State, therefore have the freedom to walk, drive etc in public without a mask, however all but a few businesses have a mask policy in order to conduct business with them, Grocery, Big Box stores, mom and pop small businesses; Now I may assume some of these policies are for liability concerns, others are due to being all in on the scam and fear mongering. I am not sure how we ever see the end to this unless it can be revealed as a fraud pandemic on a global scale.
One obstacle is the "reasonable accommodation" rule. If you can order online and/or do curbside pick up then the business doesn't have to allow you in to shop. I have the health exemption allowed by our governor but stores that offer home delivery or curbside pick up deny me entry without a mask. The businesses are more afraid of OSHA and Karen than pissing off one customer.
Not relevant to mask wearing at all....are you assuming that you can create a “disability” for yourself so you legally do not have to wear a mask or am I missing the point? I am not a shill but I am starting to be a little objective to some of this far reaching irrelevant data
Not so much assuming that you can create a disability but learning to use their rules against them. Their rules state that an exception must be made for people with a disability. Their rules also say medical records are confidential and free from unlawful search and seizure. Their rules also say that any business that is open to the public can not discriminate against a person because of a medical disability. Their rules further state that any business open to the public must make certain accommodations for persons with disabilities in order to serve those people.
Here's the thing. In a perfect world laws are made in good faith. That's why the officer has to have probable cause to search you because the law is neutral and assumes that people are honest and forthcoming. So in a perfect world, when a customer enters a store with a mask on the owner/employees HAVE to operate under the assumption that the unmasked patrons are law abiding citizens.
This principle works the same way as it would if a store accused you of stealing with no proof. It happened to my mother once and she sued the shit out of the store. Because they must act under good faith until they personally witness something indicating otherwise then they are forbidden from asking about your mask.
The problem is the courts are crooked as hell and probably would not find standing to file a lawsuit.
I somewhat agree with this...too many sheeple employees within stores that get power trips out of enforcing this shit...and agree with courts being corrupt..
How so? Have there been any presidencies set in court yet? Believing they would or would not apply is simply opinion at this point. While I’m not agreeing or disagreeing I can factually say that many box stores have pulled back the idea of enforcement based on the religious rights idea. They know that in many areas “social stigma” will police many, but also realize that they have to stay neutral when challenged for fear of potential suit and vulnerability.
I've actually spoke with a lawyer about this and had a notarized copy of religious belief made for my employer. Employers have to honor the religious exemption but in Virginia the governor's mandate does not offer an exemption for religious purposes to businesses so they do not have to honor my religious exemption.
Now this is where it gets tricky ... I have tried four different doctors and I happen to have a nasal deformity that restricts airflow and as a result I have no sense of smell but doctor's will not recommend not wearing a mask or they simply tell you that if the mask have negative affects, don't wear it.
So what is a disability?
a physical or mental condition that limits a person's movements, senses, or activities.
Well my severe PATRIOTITUS prevents me from being physically capable of putting a mask on. Call it a "mental condition" if it makes you feel better but there's my disability.
I know my rights still won’t detract from me being refused service or potentially arrested for “public misconduct” there are laws that defend us however there are also laws that protect the establishment
Just a suggestion ... quit living in fear. Take the mask off and you'll notice the gleam of admiration from everybody else and occasionally others will join you. Since the pandemic I've worn a mask on two occasion (once to vote and once to visit my mother in the hospital), I grocery shop (even went in Walmart once), I work, I participate in life on a daily basis and there have been two times I hadn't been able to go into a store because of it.
Maybe not practical for some but there are other modes of travel. My son just moved to Texas and we're in Virginia. Planning a trip next month to go see him and what I would have spent on airfare I'm spending on car rental. Shit happens. Nobody said it would be easy and wouldn't require some adjustments but you have to start thinking like the mask nazis.
These idjits feel they have a moral obligation to infringe on other people's God-given rights. Well guess what? I feel I have a moral obligation to protect what God has granted me to the fullest extent of my ability. Furthermore, I feel that anyone I can make understand how easy it is to protect the rights that any free man should have also falls under my purview of responsibilities.
As I've stated before, joining the unmasked is not as hard as y'all make it seem. Just sack up and take it off. The only thing that will change in 90% of your life is the air quality.
Not in Houston....can’t go inside anywhere without one, all the bars and restaurants are following mandate orders from the governor...at the cost of being ridiculed in public for not wearing a mask...think I’ll just stick to the boards and my house until all this shit settles can’t fight against someone who is brainwashed, some are past the point of no return. I respect and appreciate the respectful dialogue here, actually nice to have a respectful conversation with someone and not getting gaslighted and ganged up on Twitter
Likewise, I reckon were circa 2015, ya know, old enough to remember when two parties could politely discuss a topic without one party having to burn down a federal building to prove their point.
I copied a form that would suffice for a religious exemption for vaccines in school children in Virginia then had it notarized online with a notary public. I'm pretty sure it could be recreated using any word program in less than an hour. It cost me less than $40 and I'm the only person on the job that doesn't have to wear mask.
The federal law is attempting to be altered to change this...congrats on your little victories but you alone walking around handing cards to sheeple won’t do a damn thing
So there in lies a decision. If you're posting here you know the result of submittal so do you learn to function in this world as a patriot or do you bend over and spread your cheeks and hope they're gentle with ya?
Fucking A right I'll celebrate every little victory that keeps my rights from being molested by some commie cock sucker. Cheers mate!
Your rights have already been infringed upon, you were just oblivious to it......at least acknowledge it, you went into lockdown/quarantine just like THEY told you too
I don’t know how that’s a satanic ritual...I do know the mayor of Houston and the governor of Texas have mandated masks in all public areas of gathering and the 6 foot guidelines...like I said one person (myself) isn’t going to lead the sheep...there is still way to many oblivious to what’s going on...no movement will take place until the majority is red pilled which hasn’t happened yet, otherwise we wouldn’t be having this convo

I've really enjoyed your answers throughout this thread. Thank you intelligent, well-informed anon.
I agree....again this was needed in the original post, good rebuttal

Not quarantining..just not going to stand in line 6 feet apart with a mask on to get a beer when I can walk 20 feet from my couch and grab one
