Obama campaigned repeatedly in 2008 on shutting down Guantanamo. Guess what he not only didn't do, but actively invested in.

Obama definitely tried to. I know someone in the military who was going to have to fly on plane trips along with the prisoners as they were relocated overseas from Guantanamo.

Then just before the assignment was supposed to start, it was canceled and we never heard anything about it again.
