All she needs is a box of Clairol Root Touch-up, but I’m certain she feels that’s beneath her. I love the idea, though, that the reason is that she’s being held somewhere where she can’t even color her own hair.

It looks like she did use Clairol Root Touch-up - that's why the browns don't match.

Her roots would be gray. She's 80.
