I realize they are synonymous. That still doesn’t answer the question. Why not just drop the word blunt in if they’re sending a message?

Because these are comms and they don't want to directly (no pun intended) draw heat for posting statements that relate to Q. The left is paranoid and are searching for clues as well. Anyone posting direct Q messages would be asking for removal. plausible deniability.
