I've recently been introduced to gematria, and I'm looking to learn more. How it is used, what is its meaning, if there is anything to it. Thanks in advance

I'm kind of with The_Watcher on this...I've yet to see a single Q post that says anything about Gematria of any kind. It seems like a lot of guesswork along with wishful thinking about "cracking the code". If I'm wrong and it turns out that every single tweet and timestamp are encoded with secret messages that outline the plan, i will eat crow with no hesitation. But as far as I can tell, the whole gematria thing began with that fucking SerialBrain dude on r/TheGreatAwakening four years ago and it's been a ridiculous distraction ever since. Speculation is what makes the movement look like lunatics. There are plenty of links and connections that can be proven, discussed, catalogued and disseminated without having to dive into the world of ancient numerology codes and the like which have about as much bearing on anything happening right now as an old man wandering in dementia and hearing ghosts speak to him every time a pigeon shits. Just my two cents, though. Never have bought into it.
Maybe it does. Thing is, though, is this isn't a bible study group. This is a group about studying Q posts and analyzing current events. If there was even an inkling of anything related to gematria in even one Q drop, I'd be willing to give it a bit more credibility. There isnt any mention, though, and every tenuous connection that says "Justice is coming" in gematria can also mean "elephants are green" or "doves shit blue sky" or something else. It just doesnt seem at all relevant. Maybe it is, like you say, that we lack the understanding. If we do, then perhaps it should not be put forward as a theory on what is or isnt being said in messages.
This is the right take! Gematria is never to be used to prove something by itself, in the rare cases that it's rightly used it's to supplement a proof given by other means. Matthew knew Jesus was Messiah and Son of David, but he supplemented that by emphasizing the fourteens in their genealogy because daleth-waw-daleth (Dawid) equals fourteen. He was saying, look, this is the "right" generation for Messiah to appear.
So if Trump is standing in front of seventeen flags, that's supplemental. If Q says look at this watch I posted and look at what later happened at that time, that's supplemental, and other coincidences of the same kind may also be admissible. But if the digital sum of a couple of numbers taken together happens to be 45 because you fudged it to work out, you're making it up out of whole cloth. Short version.
