I really wanted to trust Pompeo, but I have not seen anything from him but pandering to us with inspirational tweets. I don't want feel good tropes and high fives in the locker room of the losing team... I want scorched Earth, bring down the mountain-level pushback from someone who claims they can lead us and resurrect America from her grave.

If he is planning on getting 2024 votes simply because he said some things we like yet really did none of them when he had the power to do so, then I certainly hope we are all smarter than that and call him out quickly. All I have seen so far from him is pretty much what I would expect from a chief spook who knows how to play to his audience.
