I'm gonna play devil's advocate here, just this once (and not because it's Tom Hanks, kek).
I drive a lot for my job, and I drive past an old shoe, or glove, or tattered ballcap or mangled sweater at least once a week. I don't stop and pick them up, because ewwew. And don't photograph them either, because that's weird. But, if that's your 'thing' (photographing abandoned clothing) I think there's plenty out there. I like doing macro work, insects /coins/flowers/mushrooms, etc. People think that is weird but I enjoy it. I've met people who photograph abandoned drug paraphernalia (needles, spoons, blades, etc). Some do portraits of the homeless, or scenery like dead trees.
Maybe he's just a shitty photographer with bad subject matter, lol!

"Maybe he's just a shitty photographer with bad subject matter" or it's code.
