If Q started posting on Reddit or created his own WordPress site, there would be too many 'mainstream' people who wouldn't take his posts seriously. 4 chan was probably the only forum with users willing to listen.

I think that the most likely reason Q has stopped posting 2 months ago is because his work is done. Enough anons follow Q at this point to red pill the general public when the big reveal happens. Of course, Q has been silent for longer before. Q could be coming back soon.
