Noted, for the same reason that any modification of dna can frequently lead to exponential purposeless growths by the cell which is what cancer really is. In that case, a virus is fucking up.. with few ramifications for the virus but not so great for the host the virus is resident in.

Hpv is like hiv harmless. A bad immune system is what makes cancer spread not the millions of pathogens we have in the body .
