Ok, ok, I know I'm going to take heat for this. But, I love Dave Chappelle. I still trust him. His honesty. Or at least I wish I could.
I've seen him live and I'd pay to see him again. Right or wrong the man's a comedic genius and smart AF.
Anywho. For 4 years the media couldn't really "use" Chappelle. Why? Because his views were too raw, too honest. People could red pill pretty hard on Chappelle's last special if they watched it w/ an open mind.
But this CNN segment? With a selectively released clip from Dave Chappelle... only* referencing the Capitol Riots?
A mere 4 days after this?
I'm going to call Dave Chappelle out right now. Tell us how it happened. Be honest with us. Explain the nuts and bolts. I dare Dave Chappelle to release a video exposing how they influence prominent figures/manipulate the narrative.
It's so obvious to everyone. It's so fake. You must know how it works. Expose it!!!
Or, Dave, you could just convince us all that you were not compromised. Because you've always been funny due to your raw honesty. If you lost that truth? You would simply no longer be funny.
One side seeks and embraces the truth.
One side seeks to create it.
What do you all think? Is Chappelle a pawn now?
To a certain extent, I disagree. In his heyday he was able to make us look at the racial stereotypes we all had and laugh at them. He had a brief period in which he did more for race relations in this country than anyone else at the time. Definite sell-out, though.
I guess I was referring more to his standup days before the TV show. I enjoyed a few of the sketches...mainly just the Charlie Murphy stories, though.
I totally get what you mean. It's hard to enjoy anything anymore when viewed through the lens of what we all know now.
