If y’all think windmills are cool, think about a helicopter. How much gas is needed to spin the thing. Then you think backwards: how fast the windmill has to spin (how slow but big) to match the gas engine. mmmmmk?

In other words, wind farms are a very inefficient way to generate and transfer power.
They're also inefficient when there's little to no wind, or during a snow/ice storm, ala what we're seeing this week in TX and elsewhere.
More birds die each year from wind farms than any other human technology, including land clearing.
Also, the amount of heavy metals and rare Earth minerals needed for some of these "green" technologies, coupled with the way we strip mine for those minerals and the amount of fuel it costs to produce them, PLUS the amount of petroleum products used in the construction of the windmills makes these wind farms a very, very inefficient way of power generation and transference.
OP, these windmills DO generate their power, but because of the size needed to make it slightly beneficial and just slightly more cost effective for us, i.e. tall and wide blades, tall towers, it makes the wind farm technique even more cost INeffective. The average height of these wind mills is 100 ft tall (just to capture wind moving only a few miles/hr more than ground level) some are even taller, like the ones in the mountains of Cali.
The materials needed to build and maintain them, de ice them, etc, PLUS the fuel needed to reach these remote areas ALTOGETHER makes them one of the most INEFFECTIVE ways we could generate power. The de-icing agents and amounts of grease needed to keep them running is enough for me to give it a hard pass, not to mention the impact on our predatory and migratory bird flocks.
We ALREADY HAVE the technology and know-how to create/maintain electricity in the form of ALL of Tesla's tech, PLUS the nuclear methods, AND other forms of "green" technology like wave generators and solar tech to put the wind farm out of contention as a viable electricity option.
The problem I see, and have seen for the decades since we've developed these green "solutions," is getting everyone to agree on their use. For every "pro" there is a "con." For every positive position there is a negative Nancy out there to say no.
In the case of the wind farm, the math doesn't add up. It doesn't add up for oceanic wave generators, unless it's a coastal region, too. The math sort of adds up for solar panels on each home and business to gather and store their own energy, but the aesthetic of having a roof covered in these panels or the solar farms most people don't like. Plus, it's the same minerals and petroleum based products needed to make these things that makes them an unappealing option as well.
The ONLY truly positive answer for our energy needs is Tesla tech. Getting people to agree on it, as well as stealing/taking back his data, research, and blueprints for them is nigh impossible right now with the Canal standing in our way.
File this under: NONE of this works UNTIL we end the Cabal once and for all.
Tesla's "free energy" tech doesn't work well when too many people connect to it, you can't keep a cohesive circuit. It also doesn't sustain high enough power to drive things like major appliances.
