I get it. Simply pointing out that they have us so on edge about race that people are compelled to point out race in order to illustrate a perceived lack of racism.
I can't speak for how a black person would take this, but when I lived in a predominantly black neighborhood I was singled out for being white. People made false assumptions about me based upon the color of my skin and it was annoying.
To me the post sounds patronizing when the story is simply that a person chose to share their cash with others who had none.
