There’s a fair amount of misunderstanding of how the courts work in this thread. Several things to know here:

1. SCOTUS is an appellate court. That means no new evidence will be presented, they’re just considering whether the lower court applied to the law correctly to the arguments made there.
2. The constitutional issues in all of these cases is basically the federal government’s power to overrule state courts in the issues involving presidential electors. Whatever SCOTUS rules in these cases won’t affect the 2020 election, it will just set the ground rules for 2024 and subsequent elections.
3. Because of #2, these aren’t high urgency cases. If the court grants cert they’ll hear oral arguments at their next session sometime this fall and rulings won’t be settled until late 2021 or even 2022.
