Prices are atrocious everywhere compared to spot(paper price).
Scottsdale Mint, Apmex and a few others have their own stores on eBay so you are buying direct from them. You can try the auctions they post but I usually just wait till I find a buy-it-now that's worth it.
I used to buy directly through the Apmex, JM, & Scottsdale websites. But about a year ago, I found their eBay stores and have not gone back.

Benefits of the eBay Stores:
-
No credit card fees
-
Prices are as good or better than their websites
Scottsdale will ship your stacks the next day. I got my last ebay order from them in 4 days. To put it in perspective, I ordered a bar directly through their site on the same day and it still hasn't arrived after 18 days.
To anyone new to silver: Only buy direct from the manufacturers if you can. I have bought fake silver coins, bars, morgans, etc in the past and they are indistinguishable from the real ones. I'm willing to pay a little more to make sure I don't end up with a brick of iron or nickel.
Happy Hunting!
If anyone wants to share their buying tricks/sources, post 'em
Highly recommend silvertowne in Indiana good honest people...no, I am not affiliated . I have just used them i the past. Also I have been collecting sterling or 925 for years...Old dinnerware, bowls, platters. Anything stamped sterling or 925. DO NOT buy silver plate-no value.Remember the 925 indicates it is 92.5 percent silver. Also sterling/925 will increase the same percentage in value as spot or 999. It has been referred to as "poor mans silver" It takes far less money to get started than buying silver bars. You can even find the stuff at yardsales IF you educate yourself on what to buy...After 20 years or so, I now have wheelbarrows full.
How do we feel about jmbullion?
Never had a bad buy from them myself. Always quick and easy They have an ebay store too! http://www.ebaystores.com/JM-Bullion
I’ve never bought any myself (even though I got a silver dollar every Christmas) and went with JMBullion. They are legit, got both orders I placed in about a week, well packed and sealed discreet boxes. Nothing anyone would think to steal off your porch. I will be buying from them in the future if I decide to get more. They do have a $299 minimum right now. They added that after the big rush on silver happened a couple weeks ago.
I bought a bunch from them about three weeks ago and got it all in the same fashion as you. I just saw people here concerned about fakes and figured I would ask. I'm not equipped to validate the material myself.
Ah, same boat here. Can’t validate it, just have to trust them based on this: https://www.jmbullion.com/about/products/ but they seem big and old enough and have received enough business awards to tell me they’re products are probably good.
go to a loca coin shop. They only charge $5 above strike for silver eagles and $3 for silver rounds. So between no shipping and handling and major markups you will be better off. Every town has a coin shop.
I've been snagging up 90% coins. A good bit of Ebay vendors offer discounts for multiple orders but the price is skyrocketing quickly.
I purchased about (50) 90% dimes and with the bulk discount paid about $2.35 a piece for them (valued around $2.08 in silver weight) and the same vendor is selling the same dimes for $3.80 now.
I love collecting coins. Nothing like holding dollars that actually have value. I got scared out of it after seeing the fakes coming from China though.
I took some fakes I intentionally bought to local shops and all of them told me they would buy them from me. They were shocked when I told them they were fake and they didn't believe me. But I was shocked that they were shocked. I mean these guys are professionals.
There is an unreported but very large portion of bullion and coins that are fake. When this comes to the attention of the silver community, the silver market will shit itself.
They have exact replicas of any coin you can imagine and even put in 90% for more expensive coins. They have fake PCGS & NCG as well. They even have veriscan from pamp suisse cracked.
These are the reasons I buy only from the mints on eBay. Not bashing you by any means, as I said I love coins. It is just very scary the lengths they go to with these fakes
Not sure if this is a trick. But the majority of my stack came from estate auctions, mostly paid spot or less. Biggest drawback to that would be that my collection is largely sterling dishes and silverware so its not very space efficient. I also have a decent amount of foreign silver coins i found for good prices. It definitely won't be as easy to sell as silver eagles or bars but I got most of my collection for under spot anyway
That doesn’t mean anything without more information.
Yeah that 3 star app is not what I would trust with an investment
Check the comment above Here's a snap:

Not trying to be a dick. I just have first hand experience with their current coins.
Don't underestimate China's desire to sell the world bullshit
Be careful in eNay. Lots of counterfeiters there. Same with craigslist.
Deal with reputable dealers, pay with PayPal (I know they suck but until something better comes along it is what it is) and MOST IMPORTANTLY, only buy from US dealers
Prices are atrocious because people are clearing out the bullions, but the spot price is still being manipulated. Starting to decouple.
He despises Trump and thinks Q is a larp. His coins of Trump mock him. He is a pot addict, libertine with alternative mystic spirituality/pop psychology ( another form of Satanic religion, in my opinion ) with good understanding of the economy. So I wouldn't say he is "just like us". He is actually veru much against any form of collective mind/group think/ us. He is as close to a pure individuals as they come. He believes only we can save ourselves. We are a god onto ourselves. His coins are also full of symbolism of nouveau hippie culture. I listened to his YouTube videos for about 2 years to learn about the silver market and I had to go through all of his other false gods.
Thank you for that update! Last I saw he had left his chanel. I am glad he at least went for what he perceives was the lesser evil. I actually did not have a problem with him not being pro Trump and welcomed his opposing analysis because I always like to hear both sides. He maintained Trump was a puppet of the "Jooos" and I kept waiting for evidence but he didn't really come through on that. It would have been interesting - no one is above becoming corrupted. I always trust everyone conditionally. As in: as long as they continue to earn trust. I hope Chris comes back to his chanel. He was excellent in his analysis in many ways. He got me into silver and I love my real money now so I am grateful for that..
Looks like they are only filling previous orders now
