Wow, good catch. More making the people suffer under the guise of "saving the environment". Yet those same people are fine with supporting China with almost no environmental regulations.

In summary, only authorizing enough generation to maintain infrastructure - not to avoid rotating outages.

Department of Energy Order No. 202-21-1 Page 2 of 4 ERCOT has been alerted that numerous generation units will be unable to operate at full capacity without violating federal air quality or other permit limitations. ERCOT requests that the Secretary issue an order immediately, effective February 14, 2021 through February 19, 2021, authorizing “the provision of additional energy from all generation units subject to emissions or other permit limits” in the ERCOT region. The generating units (Specified Resources) that this Order pertains to are listed on the Order 202-21-1 Resources List, as described below. Given the emergency nature of the expected load stress, the responsibility of ERCOT to ensure maximum reliability on its system, and the ability of ERCOT to identify and dispatch generation necessary to meet the additional load, I have determined that additional dispatch of the Specified Resources is necessary to best meet the emergency and serve the public interest for purposes of FPA section 202(c). Because the additional generation may result in a conflict with environmental standards and requirements, I am authorizing only the necessary additional generation, with reporting requirements as described below.

ERCOT- Electric Reliability Council of Texas, per normal, it's the opposite of the name of it. This is how we know what gov is doing when they create something. Whatever they name it, the effect will be the opposite. I believe they do this on purpose to make the public think it's different because they know most of the public will just accept what the media tells them and won't investigate for themselves.

Wasn't ERCOT created in like the 1930s, so that TX could avoid federal regulations?

If so, people would have been okay had they continued in that mission

Sounds like the best thing for texas to do would do what they brag about, open a can of whoop a$$ on them, tell Biden. To f off, and start the coal up asap.

So the federal government wanted to make money off of ERCOT for the environments sake which the cost is passed on to consumers. At the same time ERCOT didn’t want to spend their profits to give us power!!

Fuck Joe Biden Fuck Joe Biden Fuck Joe Biden

Fuck that punk motherfucker, my grandmother is 98 years old, bed ridden and has to deal with this power on/power off bullshit.

I pray to god that we secede, but is it actually possible? If so how would we go about doing it? Military better hurry up and make their move because there's a ton of pissed off Texans that don't play that shit.

Don't forget natural gas froze too. According to ERCOT, 50% of their power comes from that. This has happened before and they were advised to winterize, and they chose not, presumably for $$$.

Bullock said while much of the natural gas available has gone towards Texans' homes, the state's power plants need this fuel as well but aren't getting what they need.

Natural gas providers haven't been able to manufacture, ship or transport their product either, according to Abbott. He said people from these companies are telling his team, "It's just frozen right now. It's frozen in the pipeline. It's frozen at the rig. It's frozen at the transmission line."

Government to Texans, by Texans. Never forget.

I hate to be that guy, because I agree that Democratic policies do more harm than good. But, anyone in the decision chain could have chosen to do the right thing. This could be used as an example in an Ethics class.

wow. If anyone actually believes that wind and solar have any appreciable impact on any grid, anywhere worldwide, then hope is lost. so I guess hope is lost huh?

if the climate change agenda is more important than human life, then this makes perfect sense. there is a wealth of information supporting the idea that there is 'overpopulation'

these things they fabricate to make people afraid are just their excuses for doing things to us.. taking our wealth, wasting it, killing us, experimenting on us, taking our freedom... you name it.

anyway, i would not be surprised at all if the deaths that this would cause were considered a positive point.

this fits the condition for second degree murder:

“under circumstances demonstrating a “depraved indifference to human life,” the defendant “recklessly engages in conduct which creates a grave risk of death to another person, and thereby causes the death of another person”
