Good. Too many people get on school boards because they want something to talk about. A resume item. In CA, a lot of people use it as a launching pad for political careers. It is disgusting.

A good friend of mine sat on her son's school board for close to 10 years and was the board president at one point. She was involved in a project but told herself that when it was no longer about the kids, she would quit. That day came and she resigned. She said a LOT of people on the school boards do not have the kids best interests in mind.
