My wife does almost all the shopping for our family? She has recently noticed a lot of empty shelf space in the local supermarkets. There are a few products that were our favorites that are no longer available. Those that are have seen the price go up faster than the rate of inflation. Other products only have cheaper, generic, and low quality substitutes available. Any one else experiencing this around the country?

Nearly everything is delivered by truck so expect everything to go up as gas does. As far as items go I agree with u. I've seen low supply on tons of shit over the last year actually.
We are 8 months over the 2020 run on TP and some stores are still holding a 2 item limit on paper products.
Definitely food prices are higher....30% plus and going up. What I have noticed this last month: Most small stores are not available or don't have products so I have been forced to go to the larger chain stores. Michaels is now almost all Chinese imports. Staples is all Chinese. Target looks like it might be, but I noticed products seemed surprisingly reasonable. Don't know Target at all. Home Depot is beginning to look Chinese. I hope not! The Chinese are packaging products to conformity of size and weight. Choices are gone..material is not quality. One size is your only choice. It's ugly to experience. Totally lacking in color and creativity...cheap in quality.
Please put this up as a post. Go in, take pictures and post this.
my groceries definitely cost more - gas is up obviously
Grocery store in town raised prices on average $1.00 on fresh fruit and veggies.
Good start. Thanks for stimulating the discussion. Anyone else?
Gas prices up, food prices up.
