The Zapruder film is crudely edited. The one we see is a composite in which the limo is superimposed over background footage of the crowd which was taken seconds previous to the gunfire. This obscures the way the limo slowed to an almost stop. The edited footage also eliminates all but one ninth of a second of the head shot. This erases the fountain of blood and brain matter that sprayed at least two feet into the air according to witnesses and those who saw the unedited film. The version we see also has a crude black box superimposed over the back of JFK's head, concealing the gaping head wound. The fatal shot in all likelihood was fired from an open sewer hole just past the Grassy Knoll, where gunman also fired but missed.
