Somebody explain the Texas power grid issue. Don't they have high demand on the power grid every summer due to extreme heat? Seems that's even more of a demand than winter heating because A/C requires more electricity than heat (which is done in many households with natural gas).

I could be wrong here, but it seems Texas should have the same problem in extreme heat conditions if this was truly about the power grid.

$1.50/kwH? Good grief. Typical charge rate to customers is between $0.11-$0.60/kwH depending on where you are in the country.
