This coming from a group that didn't go without a paycheck during the lockdowns, that have most likely never owned a brick and mortar store front. I have never owned a sb but, I know the owner of the sb I worked for did not take a paycheck from that business for the two years I worked there. Will congress guarantee that business owners get $15/hour as well? How about something more incentivesing? I would propose that if a business owner/CEO wants a pay raise, then the lowest paid employee(s) are required to receive a pay raise equal to the % that Owner/CEO would receive. And, the owner/CEO should not be able to make more than 5x-10x more than the lowest paid employee based on the wage of the lowest paid employee. <$10/hour would be on the low end 5x and moving up to 10x from there. Thereby, all employees would benefit, and would incentivise more profits for the company and better wages for ALL employment levels increasing the standard of living for everyone at that company while at the same time not breaking the back of the business.
