I've come to believe that Cuomo's ego threatens the Dem heir apparent (Kamala), remember not long ago many on both sides were thinking the Dems might even swap out Biden at the last minute with Cuomo. The media sure was doing its part to make that possible.
The Dems need to sideline Cuomo to coalesce behind Kamala who they utterly control.
And taking Cuomo out has the additional benefit of being a distraction from Biden's wild leap leftward.
Finally, the Left can pound their chest and say they will prosecute one of their own if the facts merit it.
