Does anyone have young kids in school? How have you handled the mask situation? It’s easy for me for resist the nonsense but, it is a whole different situation with my kids going into school.
I’d like to avoid psychological, developmental, social, etc issues. We know the masks aren't for health reasons.
You're gonna want to homeschool before they turn your kids against you.
I sent my older kids to school because they begged me to go. Kept the younger ones home. I send them with three of the lightest weight possible easy to breathe masks and have them change them three times a day. I’m so worried about then breathing in bacteria. I hate hate hate it but they missed being with all their friends.
I don’t care what it’s made of, I don’t want the thing on their faces. It’s the principle of the situation.
My kids are all grown but if they were school aged today, I’d home school them.
I have mine home with me because I have the option. I get all the details I wouldn't normally see or hear while they are doing virtual. My older son shows me how left winged the school is when it comes to certain things. Schools don't teach much anything, but propaganda and common core bs.
Our school gave the option. No way in hell they would go if made to wear a mask.
Here the kids 1st grade and younger don't wear one at all. The older ones are "suppose" to, as do adults. But how many actually keep them on all day at school is probably another thing altogether, lol. In the county I live in anyways, people don't care if you wear one or not in stores and other places, but a lot of folks still wear them probably because they are afraid of confrontation. I don't wear one, but my husband does, not because he thinks they work, but because of his job I think. He's in LE so people see him more and if the media gets ahold of him not wearing one even off duty, it may make a stink. He is doing some great things in the community for the kids/families that it could put a damper on helping children.
Our district has been full face to face since August, for elementary at least. At first I tried virtual homeschool but I am not a teacher and the virtual program was terrible and had a lot of issues(heard they have figured it out but still). I cut out the liners in the masks, they only have to wear them walking to and from class and when they can't socially distance. I have heard in some classes where the teachers are paranoid they make the kids wear the masks more often, if that were the case I wouldn't have sent. If this is still going on come August, a bunch of us have already considered petitioning and homeschooling. Oddly, the kids like the masks, heard from many teachers that they have to remind students to take them off.
Also, activities like karate, gymnastics, and other sports don't require the kids or parents to wear masks. We are all still here and no covid deaths! The nonsense needs to end, people need to stand up.
I’m leaning towards homeschool. I know the system is crap. It’s getting my wife on board, she would assume the role of “teacher”.
How on earth does a person with horrible math abilities home school? Do they have groups that are there actual home school programs? I never really thought about homeschooling.
